The Get SET program serves adult learners:
- who are Ontario residents whose literacy and basic skills are assessed at intake as being less than the end of Level 3 in one or more of the following OALCF competencies (operating in either a print-based or using digital technology format) and/or who have a CLB of 3/3/3/3 or higher :
- Find and Use Information
- Communicate Ideas and Information
- Understand and Use Numbers
- who are at least 18 years old. On an exception only basis, Get SET service providers may serve young adults between ages 16 to 17 who demonstrate the maturity to benefit from adult education. However, returning to the regular school system should be the priority for these learners; and
Course Selection For Fall 2026
Monday to Thursday (4 days per week)
Morning Course Options - 9:00 am - 11:30 am
Computer Basics
Learn computer and internet basics, file management, online security, email, documents, spreadsheets, presentations and more.
English Literacy 1
Back to basics, develop and refine your literacy skills. Focus on reading, writing, listening, sentence structure, spelling & communication.
Afternoon Course Options - 12:00 pm - 2:30 pm
English Literacy 2
Refine your communication skills and prepare for credit while focusing on reading, writing, listening and speaking.
Math Basics
Enjoy learning and developing your math skills and how to apply these to real world situations.
Canadian Civics - Offered morning and afternoons
Develop and refine your English Literacy Skills while learning about Canadian Culture.
Friday Workshop Series

If you have been out of school for a while and are looking to upgrade your skills, we are here to help. Our program offers tailored support to improve your reading, spelling, and writing, while also building a strong foundation in mathematics and everyday computer basics.
Gain the confidence you need to take the next step in your personal and professional journey. Our program is designed to help you prepare for greater independence, secure meaningful employment, or successfully transition into high school credit courses, apprenticeships, training programs, and certificate programs.
