Important Information About Summer School 2022

On-line registration at www.dce.ca will open on April 1, 2022, at 12 pm (GMT + 5) for non-DDSB students. Current DDSB students must register in MyBlueprint.

Durham Continuing Education reserves the right to revise, limit or cancel programming because of the COVID-19 pandemic and other circumstances.

Full Credit Courses are IN PERSON at three sites in Durham. Daily attendance is required. Classes run Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 2:15 PM.
Full Credit Courses are for current secondary students or adults who wish to gain up to one credit in a subject they have not previously studied or who wish to upgrade a mark in a course that they have successfully completed. Up to one credit will be granted upon successful completion of the course.
Current DDSB students enrolled in a Full Credit course CANNOT take any other course in any other delivery model during the duration of the SUMMER program (i.e.,Learn@Home, eLearning, Credit Recovery), without prior approval from their home school Principal.
This program is not forgrade 8 students reaching ahead (exception – PPL1O credit recommended students) without prior approval of the home school Principal in consultation with the Principal of Durham Continuing Education. Civics and Careers Program Information | ||||||
Civics (CHV2O1) and Career Studies (GLC2O1) are separate courses and therefore require separate registrations. Students registered in Civics will complete a summative evaluation on Monday July 18th, 2022, and will be released at 12:00 PM. Students registered in Careers will complete a summative evaluation on Friday July 29th, 2022, and will be released at 12:00 PM. Attendance is MANDATORY on these days – no changes or exceptions can be made. | ||||||

Prerequisites | ||||||
It is the responsibility of students and their guidance counsellors to ensure that all prerequisites have been met before registering for an accelerated course. | ||||||
Registration Deadline | ||||||
Friday June 24, 2022. Students may still register for courses after the deadline where space is available, but choices may be limited. | ||||||
Summative Evaluations | ||||||
Will be held on Thursday July 28th and Friday July 29th, 2020. Attendance is MANDATORY on these days – no changes or exceptions can be made. Students will be dismissed at 12:00 PM on Friday July 28th, 2020. (Alternate dates for Civics and Careers – please see teacher for details). | ||||||
