Credit Recovery (Not eLearning)

Important Information About Summer School 2020

  • Due to the uncertainty surrounding the re-opening of schools this summer, Durham Continuing Education is currently experiencing limitations in the types and number of courses we can offer.
  • This summer, eLearning courses will be available and on-line registration at www.dce.ca will open on May 1, 2020 at 12 pm (GMT + 5) for students to enroll in eLearning courses.
  • We are hopeful that expanded programming choices and other registration options can take place for the current 2020 summer session, pending direction from the province and public health authorities. However, Durham Continuing Education reserves the right to revise, limit or cancel programming as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and other circumstances.

Courses in this program are designed for students (with home school approval) who, during the preceding two school years, have been unsuccessful in one or two subjects.  If unsuccessful, students should have no more than 15 class absences and have achieved a mark between 35% and 49% in a course that has been taken within the last two school years.  Up to one credit will be granted for each course successfully completed at summer school.  A maximum of two credits can be recovered during the summer session.
